Melting Pot Suburbs: A Census 2000 Study of Suburban Diversity

This survey uses 2000 census data to analyze racial and ethnic changes in 102 large metropolitan areas. It finds that minorities make up 27 percent of suburbanites in these metro areas, up from 19 percent a decade ago. However, patterns of minority suburbanization vary significantly between different metropolitan areas and between different ethnic and racial groups.
