Timed for the day after this year’s tax-filing deadline, Secretary Summers? speech will focus on a number of important tax and budget issues.

Secretary Summers will assess America’s current fiscal outlook and explain what that means for the budgetary decisions that we must take for the long-term.

Summers will explain what the Administration’s strategy means for the American taxpayer. And he will underline how reform of the IRS fits into the goal of providing the taxpayer with a fairer and more efficient service.

Following his prepared remarks, the Secretary will respond to questions from the audience.
