Audrey Singer and Jill Wilson gave a presentation on demographic and economic trends in the Washington metropolitan area. Presented to the Loudoun County Department of Planning, the presentation focused on Loudoun County.
Their presentation showed how the region is growing, decentralizing, and becoming more diverse through immigration and other demographic processes. While the Washington area boasts a unique economy that is weathering the recession better than most other metro areas, there are significant income and educational disparities across race and ethnic groups and by jurisdiction.
