Josh Humphries

Senior Advisor to the Mayor, Housing – City of Atlanta

Josh currently serves as the Senior Housing Policy Advisor for Housing for Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, leading the development and implementation of the Mayor’s affordable housing agenda. Recent initiatives include leading the acquisition and redevelopment of 2 Peachtree, a 41-story office-to-residential conversion that jumpstarted the City’s office conversion efforts, launching the Housing Help Center a one-stop housing resource shop for residents, creating the new public entity Atlanta Urban Development to leverage public land by building European-style social housing in Atlanta, and delivering 40-unit project the Melody in just four months as phase I of the Mayor’s Rapid Housing initiative to deliver quick-delivery housing for Atlanta residents experiencing homelessness.

Josh is president of the board for the Atlanta Municipal Market and a board member for HouseATL. Josh previously served as the Director of the Office of Housing and Community Development for the City of Atlanta. Prior to joining the City of Atlanta, Josh worked as a community organizer and community development leader in Los Angeles and New York City. Josh has a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Kennesaw State University and a master of divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary. Email Josh at [email protected]
