Metropolitan Areas Reveal Unevenness of the Recession

When it comes to the U.S. economy, not all areas of the country are created equal. MetroMonitor, a new Metropolitan Policy Program report on the health of America’s metropolitan economies reveals that different parts of the country are experiencing the recession in different ways. Senior Fellow Alan Berube says the study shows that broad-based recovery efforts are not the only answer to the complexities of the recession.
