On September 30, the Initiative on Business and Public Policy at Brookings (IBPP) hosted a forum on the role of private capital in revitalizing the economy both in the United States and abroad, featuring a keynote address by Senator Mark Warner (D-Va.).
On September 30, the Initiative on Business and Public Policy at Brookings (IBPP) hosted a forum on the role of private capital in revitalizing the economy both in the United States and abroad, featuring a keynote address by Senator Mark Warner (D-Va.).
The first panel explored the current opportunities and challenges in the industry, featuring the perspectives of investors, the emerging markets, labor unions and entrepreneurs. The second examined the critical position that private capital plays in the economy, as well as the current challenges that private investors face.
After each panel, speakers took questions from the audience.
