American leaders advancing the SDGs: Multigenerational urgency and innovation at the midpoint

On Monday, September 18, the Center for Sustainable Development at the Brookings Institution and the United Nations Foundation cohosted the fifth annual “American Leadership in Advancing the Sustainable Development Goals” event on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly.

Building on gatherings in previous years, this in-person event showcased multigenerational, cross-sector U.S. leadership and action on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Just hours before global leaders convened in New York for the U.N. General Assembly, U.S. leaders of all ages shared knowledge that can accelerate action to advance the SDGs in the United States at the halfway point of the 2030 deadline.
