Singapore has the best health care system at the best price, a system that I call “Affordable Excellence” in my new book, Affordable Excellence; The Singapore Health Care Story: How to Create and Manage Sustainable Health Care Systems (Brookings, 2013). In this video and those to follow, I highlight lessons I learned in my study and that can be applied to the U.S. health care system.
I will also be discussing my book in an event today, June 13, at Brookings.
A Brookings report using NSSO data has shown that 15 per cent of Indians now have some form of health insurance compared to 1 per cent in 2004. Also, while nearly 62 per cent in Andhra Pradesh are covered, less than 5 per cent of people in UP have health insurance.
