This week, the Center for Technology Innovation at Brookings (CTI) launched TechTank blog to highlight technology research and improve technology policy.
Darrell West, vice president and director of Governance Studies and founding director of CTI, writes in an introductory post that,
Technology has the power to promote transformative change in society. Government policies can stifle or strengthen the benefits of those technological advances. TechTank will explore the various ways that our leaders can leverage the maximum benefit from technology to improve lives across the globe.
The new blog has already published items on wireless technology; digital trade and the transatlantic partnership; technology transfer and university resources; and using digital technology for good.

Also, on March 13, CTI will host a panel of experts to address mobile health care challenges and solutions in both the Chinese and U.S. economies. The event will be webcast live starting at 9:30 a.m. (EDT).
