Matthew T. Page is an associate fellow at Chatham House, nonresident scholar with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and nonresident fellow with the Centre for Democracy and Development in Nigeria. He co-authored Nigeria: What Everyone Needs to Know (Oxford University Press, 2018) and is working on a new book, Understanding Kleptocracy. From 2003 to 2016, Matthew served as the U.S. intelligence community’s top Nigeria expert, working at the Department of State’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research, National Intelligence Council, Defense Intelligence Agency, and the U.S. Marine Corps. He was also a Council on Foreign Relations international affairs fellow.
