A new Metropolitan Policy Program report states that rapid change is enveloping the American west. The study illustrates that these changes are creating new urban centers replete with bright futures and many challenges. Parts of Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado are experiencing this monumental change. Mark Muro, policy director for the Metropolitan Policy Program, says the presidential contenders should take note of the issue.
