The Brookings Institution Unveils New Website to Improve Access to Quality, Independent Research and Analysis

Washington, D.C. – The Brookings Institution, a renowned public policy research organization, launched a redesigned website brookings.edu to make it easier for people around the world to access high-quality, independent research and analysis on pressing global issues.

Developed in partnership with Teal Media, the new brookings.edu uses proprietary features and an enhanced interface to foster engagement with the Institution’s many audiences to ensure they can find the information they need to understand policy challenges and identify smart solutions.

Amy Liu, interim president of the Brookings Institution, expressed her enthusiasm about the launch, stating, “At Brookings, we aim to empower people, communities, and decisionmakers to take informed action on pressing challenges confronting society today. With this enhanced website, we are pleased to be able to make our wide range of trends analyses, original insights, and policy recommendations more user-friendly and accessible to our global audience. Originally launched in 1995, brookings.edu has evolved over the years to meet the changing needs of its users. It now serves as a premiere resource for policymakers, journalists, philanthropists, academics, and industry and community leaders at local, national, and global levels, with over 55 million visitors annually.

Key features of the new website include a robust search function, enabling visitors to explore the latest Brookings research, analysis, and recommendations by topic or expert. Visitors can delve into reports, policy briefs, podcasts, videos, and testimony, and easily subscribe to newsletters, explore job and internship openings, and donate to support the Brookings Institution’s work. The new website is optimized for desktops and mobile devices.
