It has been an eventful time for public service in America. With recent budget and staff cuts in the federal administration and growing concern about the civil service, it is time to discuss why public service is important, how the current administration is affecting the civil service, and what we want government to look like in the future.
On May 6, as part of the sixteenth annual A. Alfred Taubman Forum on Public Policy, Governance Studies at Brookings hosted a webinar with leading analysts to evaluate recent changes to the civil service and think through what they mean for the future of governance in the United States.
Viewers submitted questions for speakers by emailing [email protected] and via Twitter @BrookingsGov using #PublicService.
