Neel Kashkari, the new president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, delivered his first public speech at the Hutchins Center on Fiscal & Monetary Policy at Brookings on February 16. President Kashkari, who was the assistant Treasury secretary overseeing the Troubled Asset Relief Program, assessed the post-crisis legislative and regulatory arrangements for preventing financial crises.
Following the remarks, there was a panel discussion moderated by David Wessel, director of the Hutchins Center. After the session, panelists took audience questions.
