As part of the State of the Global Economy and Global Governance event series, the Global Economy and Development program at Brookings is featuring leading voices on global and regional economic outlook and fiscal policy.
On October 11, Brahima S. Coulibaly, vice president of the Global Economy and Development program, and Eswar Prasad, senior fellow at Brookings, welcomed Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman as India prepares to assume the G-20 presidency in December 2022. In a fireside chat, Eswar Prasad and Minister Sitharaman discussed India’s current growth trajectory, economic challenges (especially employment growth) and reform, and fiscal policy as one of the largest economies in the world.
The audience had the opportunity to ask questions in person or virtually through #GlobalEconomy or [email protected].
If you are attending in person, Brookings requires all staff and visitors to show proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 via vaccines approved by the FDA or WHO.
