Abstract
WITH THE NATION caught in its worst postwar recession, the sixteenth
conference of the Brookings Panel on Economic Activity, held on April
24-25, 1975, devoted much of its attention to the current state of the economy.
One of the three articles and six of the seven reports in this issue address
questions directly related to the recession, including the events and
policies of 1974 and policies for the future.
