Wing Thye Woo is an expert on the East Asian economies, particularly China, Indonesia and Malaysia. He has advised the U.S. Treasury Department, the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, and the United Nations. He specializes in exchange rates, economic growth, regional economic disparity, and financial sector development. He was a nonresident senior fellow with the John L. Thornton China Center at Brookings.
