Julia Coronado is Chief Economist for Graham Capital Management where she develops market views based on the outlook for the global economy and monetary policy. She also serves as a member of the Investment and Risk Committees at Graham. Prior to joining Graham Julia was formerly Chief Economist for North America at BNP Paribas and Senior U.S. Economist at Barclays Capital in New York. After receiving a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Texas Julia worked as an Economist for the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington D.C. for eight years. Julia has deep expertise in aging and pension issues; she was formerly a trustee of Barclays Capital’s pension fund and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Pension Research Council at the Wharton School. Julia is a member of the Treasury Market Practices Group, a group of senior finance industry professionals sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York that develops best practices guidelines for Treasury and mortgage markets. She is also a member of the Economic Advisory Panel at the New York Fed, the Economic Studies Council at the Brookings Institution and serves on the Board of the National Association of Business Economists.
