Joanne Kim
Joanne Kim is a senior research assistant at the Metropolitan Policy Program at Brookings. Under the direction of Jennifer Vey, senior fellow and director of the Bass Center for Transformative Placemaking, she conducts research on the geographic patterns of economic activity, local economic development, placemaking, and inclusive economic growth. Prior to joining Metro, she interned with the Income and Poverty Trends team at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. She also worked at the World Bank as a research assistant advancing the sharing of best green growth practices. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from UC Berkeley and a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University.
