David Bray

Dr. David A. Bray served as IT Chief for the CDC’s Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Program during 9/11, later volunteering to deploy to Afghanistan. Bray also served as a Senior Executive advocating for increased information interoperability, cybersecurity, and civil liberty protections before becoming the Chief Information Officer for the FCC in 2013. He completed a PhD from Emory University and two post-docs at MIT and Harvard. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a Visiting Associate at the University of Oxford, and a Visiting Executive at Harvard University. In 2015, he was chosen to be an Eisenhower Fellow focused on the Internet of Everything in Taiwan and Australia.
