Doctoral Candidate and Lead Researcher – Department of Sociology, the Lab for Applied Social Science Research (LASSR), University of Maryland

M.A., is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Sociology and Lead Research Assistant for the Lab for Applied Social Science Research (LASSR) at the University of Maryland,
College Park. His research and teaching interests include sociological social psychology, emotions, race/gender/class, social inequality, and mixed methodology. Connor’s current research addresses the mechanisms that influence biased misconduct, accountability, and wellbeing of organization members, particularly among police. His work applies affect control theory to evaluate subcultural sentiment expression among groups of varying attitude, race, and gender composition. He is currently involved in an ongoing evaluation of police implicit bias using virtual reality and procedurally generated language technology at LASSR. Connor is also affiliated with the Group Processes Laboratory at the University of Maryland.
