Mark McClellan is a senior fellow and director of the Health Care Innovation and Value Initiative at Brookings. He has written a number of publications on care delivery reform, physician payment reform, and accountable care implementation in the U.S. and abroad.
Mark McClellan, MD, PhD, was a senior fellow and director of the Health Care Innovation and Value Initiatives at the Brookings Institution. Within Brookings, his work focused on strategies and policy reforms to improve health care, including such areas as payment reform to promote better outcomes and lower costs, better evidence from clinical experience, and more effective drug and device innovation. He also lead the Richard Merkin Initiative on Payment Reform and Clinical Leadership. McClellan left Brookings in January 2016 to become the inaugural director of the Duke-Robert J. Margolis, MD, Center for Health Policy at Duke University.
