Maya Elliott

Maya Elliott is a senior project coordinator and research analyst at the Center for Universal Education within the Global Economy and Development program at Brookings. As part of the Millions Learning team, Maya’s work focuses on issues related to scaling and sustaining quality education innovations and initiatives for all children and youth in low- and middle-income countries. Prior to Brookings, Maya worked as a consultant with the Early Childhood Development team at UNICEF and as an intern with the education team at BRAC International. Prior to that, Maya worked as as an ESOL educator in Fuzhou, China, and as a math teaching fellow in Denver Public Schools. Maya holds a Master of Arts in international educational development from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in international relations and Arabic from the University of St. Andrews.
