Mária Kolíková is the Minister of Justice of the Slovak Republic. She has introduced several measures related to strengthening rule of law and anti-corruption as well as a comprehensive reform of the Slovak judiciary. Previously, she served as State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice twice, from 2010 to 2012 and from 2016 to 2018. In 2006, she was the first director of the Centre for Legal Aid. In addition to civil service, Kolíková has been active in advocacy since 2003. She has been a lecturer at Trnava University, focusing on constitutional law and human rights. She founded and lectured at the Law Clinic for Community from 2001 to 2005 and worked in the nongovernmental organization sector as a lecturer.
