Fatima Hussein is the Treasury Department reporter for The Associated Press in Washington, D.C. She covers sanctions, fiscal policy changes and most recently the Internal Revenue Service’s overhaul since it received new funding through the Inflation Reduction Act. Fatima previously worked at Bloomberg Law, where she covered occupational, mine and chemical safety and the law. She also worked as a legal reporter for the Indianapolis Star and as a labor reporter for the Cincinnati Enquirer. She graduated from Florida Coastal School of Law and the University of North Florida.
