Bruno Bioni has a PhD in Commercial Law and a Master’s in Civil Law from the University of São Paulo Faculty of Law. He was a study visitor at the Personal Data Protection Department of the European Data Protection Board / EDPB and the Council of Europe, and a visiting researcher at the Research Center for Law, Technology and Society at the Faculty of Law of the University of Ottawa. He is the author of the book Personal Data Protection: The Role and Limits of Consent. He is a member of the Latin American Network of Studies on Surveillance, Technology and Society / LAVITS and the International Association of Privacy Professionals – IAPP, with CIPP / E. He is the founding director of Data Privacy Brasil, an intersection between a school of courses and a research association in privacy and data protection.
