Bernardo Sorj was a nonresident senior fellow in the Latin America Initiative at Brookings and a professor at the Institute for Advanced Studies at the University of São Paulo. He is currently the director of the Edelstein Center for Social Research in Rio de Janeiro. Sorj’s works on international relations, Latin American social and political transformations, and on the impact of new communication technologies are available in Portuguese, Spanish, English, French and Ukrainian. He was a visiting professor at several universities in the United States and Europe and a consultant to international organizations.
