Alexandra Siegel was a nonresident fellow in the Foreign Policy program at Brookings affiliated with the Center for Middle East Policy and the Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technology Initiative. She is also an assistant professor of political science at the University of Colorado Boulder and a faculty affiliate of New York University’s Center for Social Media and Politics and Stanford’s Immigration Policy Lab. Her research examines conflict and repression in the digital age in the Arab World and other comparative contexts.
