The Wellness in Black Life (WIBL) project at Brookings focuses on community-driven definitions of well-being, highlighting the vibrant experiences and contributions of Black men and boys in the United States. As part of their work, experts from the project convene communities to explore what it means for Black men and boys to thrive. In these convenings, schools have consistently emerged as critical spaces where well-being can be either nurtured or undermined.
On February 7, the Race, Prosperity, and Inclusion Initiative at Brookings hosted a webinar on the mental and emotional health trends among Black students and other students of color, highlighting practices and identifying opportunities for further action. Panelists will share perspectives from their work, offering insights on how to create environments where all students can flourish.
Viewers submitted questions for speakers by emailing [email protected] or via Twitter at @BrookingsGov by using #WIBL.
