President Clinton is making a major trip to Asia in November. Scheduled stops include Guam, Malaysia for the 6th annual APEC summit meeting, Japan and Korea.
Prior to his travel, The Brookings Institution will bring together leading scholars for an in-depth discussion of the critical issues facing the President on his trip. Topics will include:
- The Asian financial crisis
- Proliferation issues on the Korean Peninsula
- The Japanese economy and the U.S.-Japanese alliance
