Families and communities are critical to reimagining education. In honor of International Education Week and Family Engagement Month, the Center for Universal Education and partners will host the second Global Family, School, and Community Engagement initiative symposium. On November 18 and 19, we explored findings from new policy research on six countries.
The symposium began with a panel of education leaders, who shared insights on how they are using community-driven research to champion family-centered education systems. Following the panel, the audience could also join any of three interactive workshops which delved into how to implement recommendations from research led by civil society organizations from Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Sierra Leone, South Africa, and Tanzania (Zanzibar).
Viewers submitted questions for the November 18 panel by emailing [email protected] or via X at @BrookingsGlobal or on X/BlueSky by using #FSCESymposium.
