Content from the Brookings-Tsinghua Public Policy Center is now archived. Since October 1, 2020, Brookings has maintained a limited partnership with Tsinghua University School of Public Policy and Management that is intended to facilitate jointly organized dialogues, meetings, and/or events.
On March 26 the Brookings-Tsinghua Center, a joint venture of Tsinghua University and the Brookings Institution, hosted a public forum exploring the challenges and opportunities that China will face in the next five years.
In the first panel, speakers discussed the opportunities and challenges that China faces in its continued economic growth and social transformations. In the second panel, speakers explored the impact of China’s rapid growth on regional and global dynamics and outline challenges and opportunities for China’s foreign policy.
