Ask Shadi Hamid Anything on Reddit

Last month, Shadi Hamid– a fellow with the Project on U.S. Relations with the Islamic World in the Saban Center for Middle East Policy– discussed the upheaval in the Middle East, the Arab Spring, and the political durability of Islamist movements in the region. Since then, Hamid has been busy touring the country and discussing his new book, Temptations of Power: Islamists and Illiberal Democracy in a New Middle East (read an excerpt here published in The Atlantic). Since its release, Temptations of Power has been reviewed by major news outlets such as the Financial Times as well as the Wall Street Journal.

This Thursday, May 15 at 1:00pm EDT, Hamid will launch a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) thread to answer questions on a host of subjects from Redditors. (Suzanne Maloney did a Reddit AMA last year discussing Iran’s 2013 presidential election.)  If you’re on Reddit—or have a question for Hamid—make sure to log onto Reddit on Thursday.
