Rebecca Wexler was a nonresident fellow in the Center for Technology Innovation in Governance Studies at Brookings. Her research focuses on how the rapid deployment of artificial intelligence and other data-driven criminal justice technologies affect the relative power of law enforcement, prosecutors, and criminal defense attorneys. She now works in the White House's Office of Science and Technology Policy.
