Faustin Koffi

Inspector General – Ministry of National Education and Literacy, Côte d'Ivoire, Lab Manager – Côte d'Ivoire Real-time Scaling Lab

Faustin Koffi currently serves as the Inspector General at the Ministry of National Education and Literacy, where he is responsible for the Coordination of Administration and School Life at the General Inspectorate. In his role, he supports efforts to digitize management procedures across different departments within the ministry. In addition, Mr. Koffi participates in the design and implementation of the school reform process. In this context, among others, he works closely with Transforming Education in Ivory Coast a program initiated by the Jacobs Foundation.

During his career, Mr. Koffi has managed the social and health aspects in school environments. Under his leadership, the Ministry of National Education and Literacy was the first ministry to develop a strategic plan to combat HIV/AIDS in 2001 when the prevalence rate was 12 percent in Côte d’Ivoire. He also served as a key leader of a program funded by the U.S. government under PEPFAR that introduced important life skills into the curricula.

Mr. Koffi holds a degree in technology (mechanical engineering) from the The Institut Supérieur de Technologie de Côte d’Ivoire (IST-CI). He began his career as a teacher of mechanical engineering, teaching for approximately ten years before joining the government administration as Deputy Director of Handicrafts in the then Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts. In 1999, he rejoined the Ministry of National Education and Literacy where he has held a variety of leadership positions over the course of his career.
