Augusto de la Torre
Augusto de la Torre was a nonresident senior fellow in the Global Economy and Development Program at the Brookings Institution. He is an economist with a special focus on Latin America. He left the World Bank at the end of 2016, after 20 years of service in various senior roles, and now works internationally as a freelance senior consultant and adjunct professor at Columbia University. He has published extensively on a broad range of macroeconomic and development topics, and is an active participant in Latin America-related policy forums.
