At a policy forum on the economics of immigration sponsored by The Hamilton Project, Darrell West, vice president and director of Governance Studies at Brookings, compares the U.S. immigration policy to other countries, such as Canada, that target workers from others countries to supplement their workforce. West is the author of Brain Gain: Rethinking U.S. Immigration Policy. The Hamilton Project released a policy paper at the forum, “Ten Economic Facts about Immigration.”
