Today marks the one year anniversary since the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. Over the past year, we have written about this tragedy, its politics and the policies surrounding it.
Today is not the day for additional political commentary or policy analysis. Any other day of the year presents us the opportunity to do that. Instead, today is a day for solemn reflection. As the blog’s managing editor and a native of Connecticut, I feel it is absolutely necessary to put aside the crassness of politics out of respect.
At FixGov blog and the Center for Effective Public Management, we offer our thoughts and prayers to the families of those slain last December and to all those affected by this senseless tragedy.
