We know that the baby boom has changed the country in lots of ways – popular culture, changing values about all kinds of social issues, families, women’s roles and politics.  And I think this diversity boom is going to have just as big of an impact.  We’ll be a very different country and we’re only just beginning to see the start of it.

For arms control, the administration doesn’t have a Sam Nunn and a Dick Lugar in the Senate anymore. When you look at both sides, Democrat and Republican, there’s no one like them.

Improving the employment status of young adults and helping employers meet their workforce needs can be complementary goals, but initiatives [like the 100,000 Opportunities Initiative] need to be carefully structured to address the dynamics of both the supply and demand sides of the labor market.
