Snow Belt-to-Sun Belt migration is coming back after a huge lull in response to the recession and post-recession period... Up until now, regional migration was not picking up at the same time that other economic indicators — jobs and housing — seemed to be on the upswing.

Between now and 2030, millions of white baby boomers will be retiring, and the gain to the labor force will be almost entirely minority... The only real future that we have is the young minority population. Making sure they get a good education isn’t just the right thing to do. It’s the best way to remain competitive as a country.
