[On the politics of climate impacts in the U.S.] In much of the country Republicans are voting for people who are opposed to climate policy, even as they are most exposed to climate impacts.
For those states that are working with what [energy resources] they have to meet their [climate and other public policy] goals, I applaud them and we should support them.
