Nica Basuel is a senior project manager on the gender equality in and through education team at the Center for Universal Education where she works to advance research, policymaking, and practices that promote gender equality in global education. Her background includes teaching in the United States and Cambodia, along with education research project management experience in areas such as socioemotional learning, early childhood education, teacher professional development, and teacher-student interactions. She holds a Master of Teaching in secondary English education and a B.A. in English language and literature, both from the University of Virginia.
