Dr Melanie Nichols is a Senior Research Fellow at the World Health Organisation (WHO) Collaborating Centre for Obesity Prevention at Deakin University, and the lead researcher on the Heart Foundation / Deakin University Heart Disease Statistics Program (HeartStats). Melanie’s research focuses on the epidemiology of heart disease and other non-communicable diseases, community-based approaches to promoting health and evaluation of large scale interventions and natural experiments.
