Lodi Gyaltsen Gyari was a nonresident senior fellow in the Foreign Policy program at Brookings. He is an experienced diplomat and an advocate for the Tibetan people, universal human rights, and global democratic reform. He has spent the majority of his professional career working directly on behalf of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
