Originally from Kigoma, Tanzania, Iradakunda moved to the United States at the age of five. She recently graduated from the University of Utah with dual degrees in Political Science and Gender Studies, driven by her aspiration to become a Civil Rights Attorney. Central to her journey is a profound belief in the inherent dignity and worth of every individual, regardless of their background or circumstances.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Irakunda finds solace and joy in serving and giving back to her community. Amid the myriad challenges confronting our society, she believes it is crucial to foster a culture of dialogue, empathy, and mutual respect. Rather than viewing disagreements as battlegrounds for dominance, we should approach them as opportunities for enlightenment. By embracing diverse perspectives and engaging in constructive dialogue, we can bridge the divides that threaten to erode the fabric of our collective humanity.
