Edith Kikoni is a Senior Economist in the Marco Economics, Trade and Investment Global Practice of The World Bank Group. Since joining the Bank in 2008, she has worked on economic policy issues in a range of countries in Eastern Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Latin America and Caribbean Region. She is currently working on the World Bank’s Western Balkans program. Her professional interests relate to the topics of public debt and fiscal policy, structural policies for economic growth and poverty reduction, and public sector governance. Prior to joining the Bank, Ms. Kikoni worked at the Central Bank and Ministry of Finance and Planning, Uganda, and also conducted research at DIW Berlin. She holds an MSc in Economics from the University of Oxford.
