Daniel is a strategic advisor on government innovation at the Partnership for Public Service, and co-founder of Smart Cities Lab, an initiative dedicated to helping a network of ten cities work together to craft the future of urban transportation.
He is the former Assistant Director for Innovation Policy at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy under President Barack Obama.
Prior to joining the White House, he worked at the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation, a Washington, D.C. think tank focused on technology and innovation policy issues. He previously held the position of Kauffman Fellow in Law, Economics and Entrepreneurship at Yale Law School. Daniel is a graduate of Yale Law School, holds a Masters in Economics from Yale University, and a Bachelors from Dartmouth College.
