Angela Shields

Angela Shields was a senior project manager with the Center for Sustainable Development in the Global Economy and Development program at Brookings. Before joining Brookings, she worked as an emergency technical advisor and program manager with Catholic Relief Services in Ethiopia, Afghanistan, and West Bank/Gaza. Prior to that, she worked as a research fellow at Harvard, involved in a range of public health research projects in Guatemala, Turkey, India, and Indonesia. In her spare time, Angela acts as chairwoman of Kids In Nutrition (KIN), a food equity nonprofit she co-founded in undergrad. She holds an M.S. in environmental health with a concentration in nutrition and global health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a B.S. in biopsychology from University of California, Santa Barbara.
