At inaugural meeting of Social Compact’s National Community Advisory Council (NCAC), Alyssa Stewart Lee presented insights from UMI’s recent work on how to close the urban information gap in order to drive markets, spur investment, and connect residents to the economic mainstream.

The Urban Markets Initiative of the Brookings Institution is working collaboratively with Social Compact, a leader in innovative developing innovative ways to more accurately value market potential in dividable urban markets. As a member of the UMI Collaboratory, UMI and Social Compact are investigating ways to advance market research techniques so that better information can be used to create positive change in urban communities.
