On May 15, 2013, the Brookings-Tsinghua Center for Public Policy hosted a roundtable discussion on topics of China’s pension system and aging population. Lu Bei, post-doctoral fellow at ARC Center of Excellence in Population Ageing Research (CEPAR), presented her comparative research on universal pension system and its feasibility in China. Rafal Chomik from CEPAR, made a comprehensive introduction of Australia’s pension system.
